Olivia develops feature length documentary films and short form content for businesses and non-profits. Currently, Olivia is directing two sports documentaries on Latina athletes and a short film on the Amazon river dolphin, the boto.  

 

Recent work includes feature documentary 'Bloodroot' (San Francisco Film Festival, 19'), 'The Maestro: The Rollie Massimino Story' (Fox Sports, 18'), With A Kiss' (CBS and Turner, 16'), 'Kate Plays Christine' (Sundance 17', Grasshopper Films), and 'Drunk Stoned Brilliant Dead: The History of the National Lampoon' (Sundance 16', Magnolia Pictures, A&E/History Films), 'Dr. Fandom' (an ESPN Campaign). She recently completed the Fucking Awesome collaboration launch video on skateboarder, Beatrice Domond. In 2018 Olivia was invited to participate in the 8th annual Artist Academy of the New York Film Festival and Film Society of Lincoln Center for up-and-coming and established filmmakers.

Olivia has photographed around the world documenting people and their connection to the environment. Her photography work includes the '1,000 Stories Campaign'  in association with the Renewable Energy Alaska Project, which documents individuals and businesses making the switch to renewable energy. Olivia also participated in a collaborative documentary project which documented the 'boom and bust' town of Towanda, PA. The resulting work was part of an exhibition that took place in New York City in 2013. Olivia continued her travels by heading abroad to the country of Guyana where she documented the eco-tourism models implemented within the Amerindian communities.

PROJECT Mythic Creatures

SUMMARY Mythic Creatures explores the enchanting world of the Amazon river's pink dolphin, the boto, emphasizing their unique characteristics, playful behavior, and impact on the surrounding communities. Through the lens of two twins, Maria Helena and Maria Eduarda, who share a deep connection with a pet dolphin named Josué, the project explores the complex intersection of folklore, climate change, and human interactions in the Amazon.

PROJECT Downtown (currently entitled)

SUMMARY Guided by their coach, an all-Latina high school soccer club fights to defy cultural norms and change the face of women’s soccer by attempting to win the National Cup Tournament in their final season together. This coming-of-age documentary tells the story of sisterhood, identity, and resilience through the game of soccer.

SUMMARY Once-bullied CT teen uses boxing to gain self-esteem and advocate for other girls. The 2023 State Silver Gloves champion boxer, Brianna Alers, is utilizing what she has learned through five years in the ring to act as a role model for her peers during which time she's training for the Junior Olympics in June 2023.
