THE LATINA GIRLS CLUB

In Production

The Latina Girls Club (currently entitled), is a feature-length coming-of-age story set in South Central L.A. It follows an all-Latina, predominantly LGBTQ+ soccer club as they fight for a National Cup title in their final season. Captains (and girlfriends) Nayelli and Luzy chase professional dreams while navigating racism, cultural expectations, and a broken soccer system. Filmed over five years, the project blends cinéma vérité footage with the team’s personal iPhone videos, creating a raw, intimate portrait of their lives on and off the field.
